Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2673

“It was nothing,” Gabriel said.

Grace let go of Sylvia’s hand. “Well, you’ve both had a long day. You should get some rest.”

Sylvia smiled warmly. “You too, Grace.”

“Goodnight.”

The three of them walked inside together, parting ways at the junction. Gabriel and Sylvia headed back to the villa they were staying in.

The lights were on inside, but the housekeeper had already gone to bed.

“You didn’t have dinner,” Gabriel said. “I can have someone bring you something.”

“No, that’s alright,” Sylvia declined, shaking her head. “I’m exhausted and don’t have much of an appetite. I think I’ll just go to bed.”

“Okay. If you get hungry in the middle of the night, call me,” Gabriel said, his voice gentle.

Sylvia gave a slight nod and turned to go upstairs.

Gabriel watched her go, a feeling of unease settling over him. He had to say something.

“I didn’t know about it beforehand,” he called out.

Sylvia paused on the stairs and looked back down at him. “I know,” she said softly.

“But,” Gabriel continued, his voice as deep and dark as the night, his honesty unflinching, “I knew the moment Sean walked in. He wore extra layers to hide his build and used a voice modulator, but I know him too well. I recognized him instantly.”
