He had come back but hadn't gone to his room to sleep. He was just sitting alone in the yard, and who knew how long he had been out there.
Ever since Norah's accident, it seemed their boss was spending more and more time out in the yard.
Damian initially wanted to go over and remind him, but he suddenly felt that Xavier probably didn't want to be disturbed right now.
After standing there for a moment, he turned and walked away.

Xavier didn't go back to the hospital to see Simon. A day later, Simon woke up and called him, asking him to come home and take over the company.
Post-illness, Simon's weak voice sounded far more sincere than usual. "Gonzalez, come back. I was wrong about what happened in the past. Dad apologizes to you!"
"No matter how much you hate me, your surname is still Hanson. That's a fact you can't escape."
"I no longer have the energy to manage the corporation. I have to pass this responsibility on to you!"
Xavier's expression was distant, tinged with a faint trace of mockery. "Since you like the Franco family so much, you can hand the business over to Yvonne. That way, they won't have to fight for it anymore!"
Simon gasped for air. "Gonzalez, do you really hate me so much that you hate the Hanson family business too? But don't forget, your mother poured her blood, sweat, and tears into the Hanson family as well."
Xavier's tone was dead and cold. "So you actually remember."
Simon softened his tone, sounding even more earnest and pleading. "I wronged your mother, which is why I must hand the Hanson family over to you."
Xavier scoffed. "Looking for some psychological comfort before you die?"
