Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 426

An abandoned air-raid shelter on the west side of town.

Melissa wore an elegant dress, covered by a black raincoat.

She stood beside Damien, her expression complex as she gazed at the dark entrance before them.

“It’s been twenty years,” Melissa sighed softly. “When Lauren Hawke learned this secret, she guarded it with her life to protect Grace. I can’t believe these people are still so persistent.”

“After today, they won’t get another chance to be.”

Damien’s voice was cold. He raised his hand and made a tactical signal.

“Move out.”

Dozens of bodyguards in black immediately swarmed into the shelter without a sound.

Inside the air-raid shelter.

Dorian had been hoisted back onto the iron frame.

His head hung low, his body limp as he drifted in and out of consciousness.

But in reality, his mind was racing.

That phone call was the best performance of his life.

He had exploited The Shepherd’s arrogance.

They thought he was just some useless nerd who only knew how to write code, never suspecting he would hide traps within his words.

*Grace, you have to understand…* Dorian pleaded silently.

Just then, a faint commotion echoed from outside.

It was followed by the muffled pop of gunfire, the silencers making it sound like the click of a stapler.

“Who’s there?!”

The two guards on duty immediately raised their guns, their eyes fixed warily on the entrance.

*Pop! Pop!*

Two shots rang out. A bloody hole appeared in the center of each guard’s forehead, and they collapsed to the ground.

The door was kicked open.

Damien walked in. Behind him, Felix and the other team members fanned out, quickly clearing out the remaining guards.
