"I am a research scientist," Grace said, lifting her head, her gaze firm. "My research is for healing, for the benefit of humanity, not for creating some kind of super-soldier."
"Nemesis Group, in their greed to seize this technology, kidnapped my family, murdered my loved ones, and even launched a massive online smear campaign against me."
"They're afraid of me."
Grace stared directly into the camera, as if looking through the screen at the people hiding in the shadows.
"Because I know their secrets. I know what kind of inhumane live-subject experiments they are conducting under the guise of 'human evolution.'"
"Therefore, I am announcing the formation of the 'Alliance for Ethical Technology.'" Grace's voice was resolute. "I invite all technology companies around the world to join in boycotting Nemesis Group's anti-humanitarian technological tyranny. Any company that joins the alliance will receive free patent licensing from Graceline Technologies."
This move was meant to pull the rug right out from under them.
While Grace was livestreaming, the top-floor office of the Clarke family headquarters was a war room.
"Mr. Clarke, we've bought up all the shares they've been dumping!"
"Mr. Clarke, the stock price of Nemesis Group's subsidiary, 'Titan Bio,' has plummeted. We've already acquired thirty percent of their shares!"
Damien sat in his executive chair, his expression indifferent.
"Continue. And tell those shareholders who are still on the fence that anyone who dares to sell Clarke family stock at a time like this will never do business in this city again."
"Also, contact those international consortiums that have been competing with Nemesis Group." A cold sneer formed on Damien's lips. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Tell them the Clarke family is willing to concede some benefits if they'll join the fray and help us tear Nemesis Group apart."
"But, Mr. Clarke..." Felix's heart ached as he watched the funds hemorrhaging from their accounts. "Burning money like this, our liquid capital won't last more than three days! This is basically gambling the family's century-old legacy!"
"So what?"
