Hudson dismissed the nanny with a wave. Cortney wrapped her arms around his neck, her voice small and sad.

"Daddy Hudson, when can I see Mommy? It's been forever. I miss her so much."

Looking at the little girl's heartbroken face, Hudson felt a surge of pity. He stroked her hair.

"How about we take Mommy home with us today?"

Cortney's eyes widened with joy.

"Really?"

Hudson managed a smile and nodded.

"Yes."

Cortney hugged him tight, rubbing her face against his neck.

"Thank you, Daddy Hudson! You're the best!"

Seeing how happy Cortney was, Hudson's hesitation vanished. He made up his mind to take Amara out of the hospital.

Neither Amara nor Cortney should have to suffer for the sake of his and Jade's arguments.

Because of Jade, Amara had suffered enough in this place. He couldn't keep indulging Jade's petty jealousy at Amara's expense.

After some thought, Hudson decided to put Amara and Cortney in one of the other villas at Grandview Estate, just a few houses behind the one he shared with Jade.

The villas were spaced far apart. Jade had been busy at the studio lately, leaving early and coming home late. As long as they timed things right, the two women would never even run into each other.

Once he'd made the decision, Hudson had Kevin call a moving company to bring their belongings to Grandview Estate.

When they arrived, Amara noticed the beautiful scenery and asked to go for a walk.

Hudson checked his watch. Jade wouldn't be off work for hours yet.

Besides, it was a simple request; he had no reason to say no.

He had the driver stop, and he and the two women began to stroll through the complex.

Halfway through, Cortney got tired and begged for a 'horseback ride'.

"Daddy Hudson, can I get a horseback ride?"

Hudson was confused. "A horseback ride?"
