"It’s just a small wound, nothing serious," Xiao Jin said, his brow not even twitching, dismissing it lightly.
Having been on the battlefield for years, he has suffered far worse injuries than this, and such a minor wound didn’t even need a Healing Potion, it would heal on its own in a couple of days.
Shen Tang was worried, "But you’re bleeding black blood, and it looks like the flesh is about to fester, I’m afraid it’s poisoned."
Xiao Jin’s golden eyes turned cold and grim, cursing under his breath—he hadn’t anticipated that bastard would poison the dagger.
Greenfield City is but a remote town, having only about three to five doctors whose skills vary, and it’s unknown if they can make an antidote potion.
The poison in Xiao Jin’s wound was spreading rapidly, with the flesh already showing signs of decay, it seemed unlikely he’d make it back to the city.
If it worsens, he might even lose a leg!
Shen Tang grabbed his hand anxiously, "Let me try to help you heal!"
Her Healing Ability was only Basic, she didn’t know if she could detoxify it, but it was better than nothing.
Xiao Jin caught sight of their joined hands, a look of surprise flashing across his face. In the past, he would have been nauseated as if touching trash, wishing he could kill this fat woman to vent his frustration.
But now.
He found the little chubby girl’s hand plump and soft... strangely nice to touch.
Shen Tang, unaware of Xiao Jin’s thoughts, noticed his body stiffen for a moment. She quickly withdrew her hand, murmuring, "Sorry, I didn’t mean to, I was just... too anxious and worried about you."
Hearing her soft, aggrieved voice, Xiao Jin’s throat bobbed.
He said nothing, simply stared down at her, his golden eyes reflecting a dangerous glow in the moonlight.
Shen Tang backed away a few steps, panicking as she pleaded, "I really didn’t mean it, don’t throw me out to feed the wolves!"
This damn petty man, she just touched him a little, was there really a need to be so angry?
Xiao Jin’s face darkened suddenly, grinding his molars; what on earth was this silly female thinking?
But as he recalled the softness of her touch, a strange warmth spread through his chest, and a hint of regret crept in.
Xiao Jin’s gaze fell on Shen Tang.
She had slimmed down considerably, yet her bust and bottom hadn’t shrunk, the fabric was taut, ready to burst.
Accentuating that slender waist and graceful curves, indescribably sensuous and succulent.
Xiao Jin’s eyes deepened, his Adam’s apple moving, suddenly curious about how this chubby girl would feel in his arms, if it was as nice as before...
As he snapped back to reality, Xiao Jin’s face darkened abruptly.
Damn it, did this chubby girl drug him again?!
Why would he have such thoughts about her!
Shen Tang noticed the increasingly gloomy look on this damn man’s face, swallowed hard, and felt frightened, "If you don’t want me to help you heal, so be it, but when you drag it out until amputation is necessary, don’t blame me!"
In a fit of anger, she stomped her foot, just as she turned to leave, Xiao Jin grabbed her wrist and pulled her back beside him.
Shen Tang’s head leaned against his solid chest, her face slightly flushed, her heart pounding wildly.
Seeing her shy and confused look, Xiao Jin’s lips curled into a smile, his long fingers with calloused tips pinching her round cheek,
"Weren’t you going to help me heal?"
He lowered his head, leaned close to her ear and neck, his deep, husky voice carrying a wicked breath, bringing tingling to her skin,
"Alright, I’ll find a nice spot, and let you treat me properly..."
With that, Xiao Jin hooked his arm around Shen Tang’s knees, effortlessly picking her up and striding away from the group.
As Shen Tang suddenly found herself weightless, she tightened her grip around his neck in fear, clinging to him like a gecko, terrified of falling.
Cursing silently in her heart: What the hell does this damn man want to do!
He’s injured this badly, how can he still have such strength?
