Jonathan’s sharp, aggressive features were calm, a stark contrast to the usually gentle Elmer, whose brow was furrowed in a scowl that looked like he wanted to devour Jonathan whole.

“If you have something to say, just say it,” Elmer snapped, his voice edged with impatience.

Jonathan calmly lifted his teacup and took a sip of matcha. “The food isn’t even here yet.”

“Are we really in a position to be sharing a meal?”

Jonathan remained silent in the face of Elmer’s pointed question. Just then, a server slid open the door and presented their dishes. Since Jonathan was in no hurry, Elmer decided to calm himself and focus on the food.

Breaking off a leg from the king crab, Elmer ate while keeping a wary eye on the man across from him. He knew Jonathan’s reason for this dinner had to be related to Niamh, which was the only reason he’d agreed to come.

Jonathan didn’t touch his fork. After finishing his tea, he pulled a folder from his briefcase.

“Shaman Technology… it’s a shell company nested within other shell companies. I traced it to its ultimate parent, a corporation called Ace Group, registered in Blackspire. All the relevant information is in this folder. Use your resources, go there with Niamh, and you might just be able to unmask the corporate spy who’s using Jarrett’s identity.”

Elmer listened quietly, continuing to eat as his eyes flickered to the folder in Jonathan’s hand.

When Elmer didn’t respond, Jonathan continued, “Also… Cygnus Biotech on H Island… it can be brought in as a white knight…”
