His Housewife Had Secret Identities novel Chapter 669

Niamh’s long, dark lashes fluttered up. The last person she expected to see here was Jonathan.

“Are you following me?”

Jonathan stopped in front of her, his obsidian eyes turbulent, mirroring the restless sea beside them. “I just asked your bodyguards where you were,” he said, his lips barely parting.

Niamh halted, her path blocked. She didn’t ask why he was here; his expression made it clear he had something to say. The sea breeze whipped through her long hair, and she noticed that for once, Jonathan’s hair was free of product. It was just as messy as hers, giving him a relaxed, unstudied look.

“Today… Mr. Jameson passed away…” Jonathan began calmly, noting that Niamh’s expression was even calmer than his. “How long were you going to hide this from me?” This time, a note of grievance crept into his voice. “You’re the true heiress of the Quinn family—Katarina. You’re Mr. Jameson’s biological granddaughter, the only child of Hayes and Carlotta.”

The weight of these titles was almost comical to Niamh. Was bloodline really that important? Of course it was, but legally, as Gemma Rivers’s adopted daughter, she had no connection to the Quinn family whatsoever.

“Yes… my name… was once Katarina,” she admitted with unnerving composure.

Jonathan’s face darkened, his brow furrowed in anger. He was furious, but he also knew he had no right to be angry with her. Still, he couldn’t suppress the rage he felt over her hiding such a huge part of her life from him for so long.

Niamh was baffled by his emotional outburst. As far as she was concerned, her family history wasn’t worth mentioning. If she hadn’t accidentally run into Hayes and Carlotta on that cruise ship, if Hayes hadn’t been overcome with late-life remorse and started reaching out, the Quinn family would have remained an erased chapter of her life.

“It has nothing to do with trust. Legally speaking, I have no ties to the Quinn family anymore.”

Her placid response did nothing to quell the storm raging in Jonathan’s chest. He once thought he knew her better than anyone—that she was simple, gentle, easy to control. But it turned out he knew nothing about her at all, including the fact that she was Rina from the juvenile center.
