His Housewife Had Secret Identities novel Chapter 716

But in truth, they really were on the same wavelength.

Ever since hearing Preston mention Gloom Thorn on the golf course, he had guessed Niamh would choose to work with him.

He believed that Niamh was the type to pick herself up right where she had fallen.

Since Ramona had interfered and snatched Felix Felix away, he knew Niamh would find someone else to collaborate with rather than let her new sci-fi collection fall by the wayside.

The space-gray Koenigsegg blazed down the highway.

After about an hour, Niamh noticed Jonathan was slowing down.

“Are we almost there?” she asked, tilting her head to look out the window.

Outside, The Imperial Tower, home to Felix Felix’s studio, was getting closer and closer.

“Why did you bring me here? Isn’t this Felix Felix’s studio?” Niamh asked, turning to face Jonathan.

Instead of answering her question immediately, Jonathan parked the car and asked one of his own.

“Do you trust me?”

Niamh stared at his faintly smiling face and shook her head firmly.

“No.”

She expected her answer to annoy him, but the curve of his lips only deepened.

He leaned in close to her ear and whispered, “I don’t believe you, either.”

Niamh realized he meant he didn’t believe her when she said she didn’t trust him.

His breath still seemed to linger by her ear as she pushed him away and got out of the car.

The magnificent Imperial Tower loomed before her. She was certain she wasn't mistaken; this was definitely Felix Felix's studio.

“Lance? The assistant?”

Seeing Niamh, Lance Galen offered a polite greeting.

“Ms. Rivers, are you here to see Mr. Felix today?”

“I’m here to see Gloom Thorn,” Niamh said directly.

Lance was now the one who was stumped.

He blinked, his confused and surprised gaze eventually landing on Jonathan.

Jonathan calmly made the introduction. “Lance, also known by his pen name, Gloom Thorn… this is Ms. Rivers. She's the one who wants to discuss a collaboration with you.”

Inside a small, unassuming diner outside The Imperial Tower, Niamh and Lance sat across from each other, a bowl of fried chicken on the table between them.

Outside, Jonathan leaned against the large window, his arms crossed, standing guard like a sentry.
