His Housewife Had Secret Identities novel Chapter 752

Niamh wasn't sure why she was so agitated, but the words had just slipped out.

Jonathan froze for a second. "But he's your child..."

"I already have all of this at home. I don't need it."

"If you don't take them, I'll deliver them to your house myself and refuse to leave."

"Are you threatening me?"

"How would I dare..." Jonathan said, a wry smile touching his lips. Niamh wasn't convinced; she knew there was little he wouldn't dare to do.

Flynn, holding the sleeping Marlin, felt like a prop in their drama. Seeing them at a standoff, he couldn't help but interject, "We've actually just run out of baby food. Why don't you... just accept it? It's a kind gesture from Mr. Thomas."

Although Flynn's words had helped him, Jonathan felt a surge of displeasure. No matter how he looked at it, Flynn seemed like Niamh's current husband, which made him, the ex, feel like his skin was crawling. Flynn's intention was to ease the tense atmosphere, but all he got for his trouble was a harsh glare from Jonathan.

*This triple salary isn't easy money,* Flynn lamented internally.

In the end, Niamh accepted the baby supplies. They were bought for her, but they were really for Marlin.

"I'll thank you on Marlin's behalf, but please, don't buy anything else in the future," she said, before turning to walk into the residential complex with Flynn.

As she spoke, Niamh began unpacking the bags. Jonathan had bought a mountain of things, from food to clothes. Looking at all the baby supplies, she was filled with a mix of emotions. She never thought Marlin would get to use things bought by his biological father.

As she sorted through the items, her hand brushed against something small in one of the bags. "What's this..." she murmured, her eyes widening.

In her hand was a single piece of candy. Wrapped in a crystal-clear paper, it glittered like a jewel under the light. The candy instantly threw Niamh back to her days in solitary confinement at the Juvenile Rehabilitation Center.

Flynn, who had been sitting by the crib and checking his watch, noticed her staring blankly at the candy. "Did Jonathan buy that for Marlin, too? But he's too young for candy, isn't he?"

Niamh snapped back to the present, clutching the candy in her palm. "No... This isn't for Marlin."
