Graves had to be physically carried out of the suite by his own staff. Moments later, the scattered, terrified members of The Board of Arbiters scurried back into the building like frightened mice. They scrubbed every inch of The Spire from top to bottom, terrified of making even the slightest mistake. They were completely paranoid that if Serena was unhappy with their work, she would unleash another brutal beating. None of them had ever experienced such a ruthless beatdown in their lives.
Lydia and the rest of the team watched the spectacle in stunned silence. The absolute wreckage of the room was completely sanitized and restored by the very officials who had tried to sabotage them.
"What are you all waiting for?" Serena asked, casting a lazy glance in their direction. "Bring your luggage inside."
Lydia and the others finally snapped out of their daze. Thrilled, they practically sprinted back to the dilapidated cabin in Sector Delta, grabbed their bags, and sprinted back toward The Spire.
As they hurried back, Bianca was still standing rigidly by the front entrance. Lydia pushed her chest out, doing her best impression of Serena’s signature nonchalance. She kept her face perfectly blank and let out a cold scoff. "Good dogs don't block the door."
Coming from Lydia, the expression carried absolutely zero intimidation. If anything, it just looked endearing.
Bianca, however, looked like she was ready to explode. She couldn't believe she had only been on the island for a single day, and Serena had already publicly humiliated her again. It felt like no matter what she tried, she could never get the upper hand against Serena. Instead, Serena played her like a fool at every turn. And now, even some pathetic stray from a backwoods town dared to parade her newfound privilege right in her face!
Watching the officials meticulously clean the luxurious rooms and install a brand-new door before bowing respectfully on their way out pushed Bianca over the edge. Her chest heaved with suffocating rage. She stared at the breathtakingly extravagant residence, furious that a team of nobodies had hijacked it. Those charity cases were now living in a place infinitely better than her suite in The Meridian Suites. Her hands curled into tight fists, a suffocating wave of rage washing over her.
"Bianca, we should..." Isabella leaned in close, keeping her voice to a cautious whisper.
Before she could even finish her sentence, Bianca violently shoved her aside and stormed off toward The Meridian Suites.
