Serena’s gaze fell on the phone.

Hailey seemed to realize what she was doing and quickly turned the screen off, but then she lifted her chin defiantly. “So what if I was filming you? You’re the one who dared to make a dirty deal with an old man. Why can’t I film it?!”

She had seen Serena leave with an old man, and the more she thought about it, the more it gnawed at her. She had to see what kind of sordid transaction Serena was involved in.
