“Riley, that... that girl, ahem! That warrior princess, did you see her? She... she kicked that door down in one go!”
Trevor swallowed hard, his face a mask of horror. “Riley, a bodyguard with that kind of strength, and a girl that cool... she’s out of your league!”
He was worried that if Riley actually managed to win her over, one day he might accidentally tick her off.
And then... one kick!
Game over!
With stars in his eyes, Riley watched the girl in the dressing room, her expression gentle as she spoke with Brianna.
He chuckled. “Don’t you guys think... she’s incredibly cool?”
Darius and Trevor were confused.
Riley’s face was full of infatuation. “I think... a girl like that is the only one who can handle me! Being with her would make me feel so safe!”
Darius and Trevor were speechless.
It was over.
Riley was completely smitten, utterly mad.
-
Inside the dressing room.
Serena finished putting the rest of the jewelry on Brianna.
Seeing herself in the mirror, adorned with jewelry custom-made for her by her idol, Brianna’s eyes welled up with emotion.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approached from outside the dressing room.
An icy chill, heavy with suppressed fury, swept in.
Nicholas’s tall, elegant figure appeared at the doorway. He carried a coldness that hadn’t dissipated, and his handsome, almost ethereal face had lost its usual lazy, devil-may-care charm, replaced by a terrifying frostiness.
His enchanting dark eyes, turbulent as a storm-tossed sea, swept across the dressing room.
Even though the bodyguards had tidied up, the mess was still visible.
His gaze darkened further, finally landing on Brianna’s face.
Although the young woman had stopped crying, her slightly swollen eyes and the tear stains on her face revealed what had just happened.
His presence grew even more intimidating.
“Nicholas...” Seeing Nicholas, Brianna’s eyelashes trembled. The grievance she had just suppressed surged back up.
Nicholas walked over, his slender figure casting a protective shadow over Brianna.
The coldness in his eyes softened, replaced by a hint of tenderness.
He raised his hand and gently placed it on Brianna’s head, ruffling her hair.
“Were you scared?” he asked.
Brianna’s eyes were red as she sniffled and shook her head. “No, Serena got here really fast. She took down Brandon in an instant.”
Nicholas’s eyebrows lifted slightly as his deep, dark eyes turned to look intently at Serena, who stood to the side.
