Serena stepped forward, walking straight over.
A crowd had already gathered around the scene.
But as Serena approached, she spoke up in fluent United Realmon States English, "Excuse me, coming through."
The onlookers turned to glare at her.
They were ready to snap at her, but when they met her cold, clear eyes...
The words died in their throats, and they naturally parted to clear a path for her.
Serena walked straight up to the elderly Elyndor woman.
"Back up! Everyone, stand back! I've already called an ambulance. Nobody touches her until the professionals arrive! If anything goes wrong, it's on you!" a security guard barked the moment he saw her.
"I'm a doctor," Serena said, her United Realmon States English crisp and perfectly accented. "Shut up and step aside."
By the time the notoriously slow United Realmon States ambulances arrived, it would be too late.
Serena pulled off her baseball cap, revealing a strikingly gorgeous, radiant face.
Several United Realmon States locals in the crowd gasped at the Elyndor girl's breathtaking looks, even more stunned by her audacity.
"What does this girl think she's doing?"
"She's just a kid. There's no way she's a doctor!"
Nobody believed that a girl as young as Serena could possibly be a medical professional.
They watched as she casually swung her canvas bag off her shoulder and pulled out a small, palm-sized gray cloth pouch.
She unrolled the pouch—
Revealing a row of gleaming silver needles of varying lengths!
The crowd erupted into dramatic shrieks. "Oh my God! What is she going to do with those terrifying needles? Is this some kind of voodoo?"
"Is she trying to stab her to death?!"
"Record this! This is insane!"
The security guard looked utterly horrified. He reached out to grab Serena's wrist. "Stop it, you lunatic! This is murder!"
He figured such a slender, delicate girl would be easy to manhandle.
However, the second his fingers brushed against her sleeve...
Serena didn't even look up.
Her slender fingers pulled a silver needle, and with a swift backhand flick...
"That girl... she's lost her mind! She actually stabbed her... right in the chest!"
"God, this is madness! She's actually going to kill her..."
Nobody believed Serena could save this clearly dying woman with just a few flimsy needles.
How could anyone from Elyndor possess that kind of miraculous skill?
If they were really that good, they wouldn't need to study Western medicine in the first place, right?
Yet, barely ten seconds after the final needle was placed...
"Cough! Cough, cough..."
The elderly woman, whose face had been a terrifying shade of blue as she gasped for air, miraculously stabilized.
She coughed up a heavy breath and then began gulping in fresh oxygen greedily.
The horrifying blue tint on her face began to fade, returning to a normal, healthy color at a visible rate.
"Oh my God! It's magic! It's that mysterious Eastern magic!"
"It actually worked! She's okay! She's actually okay!"
"Eastern medicine is unbelievable! What kind of needles are those? How did a few pricks bring someone back from the dead?"
