"It's all Serena's fault! I'm going to kill her, I swear I'll kill her!" Anna ground her teeth, tears mixing with smeared mascara all over her face. "How could that bitch... how could she actually make us... make us..."
The memory of what just happened made her want to rip Serena apart piece by piece!
She didn't dare direct her anger at Douglas.
So, she placed all the blame entirely on Serena.
In her mind, Serena had done this maliciously. Serena obviously knew how to race but had kept her mouth shut just to trap them in a bet, intentionally setting them up to be humiliated!
In a blind fury, Anna swept everything off the coffee table, sending glass shattering across the floor.
Isabella, however, was much calmer.
She sat on the sofa, staring at the floor.
Even though she didn't live in the States, there had been plenty of people recording them at the track tonight.
If those videos made their way back home...
She would be completely ruined!
The Lancaster family would never accept a disgraced daughter.
She had to strike first!
A vicious glint flashed through Isabella's eyes, though her voice took on a soft, pitiful tremor. "Anna, don't cry..."
She grabbed Anna's hand, her eyes brimming with fake tears. "What are we going to do? If those photos... if the videos leak and Holden and Kiera see them..."
She purposely let the sentence hang, letting Anna's imagination fill in the horrific consequences.
Anna took the bait hook, line, and sinker. She slammed her hand on the table, her face twisting with malice. "You're right! It's all Serena's fault! We can't let that bitch get to them first. We have to expose her true colors to Grandpa and Grandma right now!"
"But..." Isabella looked down at their ruined clothes. "Look at us..."
"This is perfect! This is exactly what will make them believe us!" Anna grabbed Isabella's arm. "Come on! We're going right now!"
The two of them rushed to the medical facility in the middle of the night.
However, it was far too late, and the facility had strict visiting hours. The security guards completely shut them out.
Unwilling to give up and terrified that Serena would bring breakfast again at dawn and steal their chance, they sat stubbornly in the facility lobby all night, waiting for visiting hours to open.
After sitting there all night...
They looked even more pathetic and battered by morning.
