“Boss, our system has been breached!” a hacker panicked. “The attack is too aggressive, we can't block it!”
“Cut all external connections right now!” Fletcher growled, his expression darkening at the sea of red errors.
The hacker's voice trembled. “We... we can't disconnect...”
“Useless! What am I even paying you for?” Fletcher turned livid, rage twisting his features. “It has to be that bastard Rex. He must have hired outside help to play dirty!”
Even as he cursed, a strong sense of dread washed over him.
The method of this breach... it felt terrifyingly similar to that person from back then.
No! Impossible!
That person disappeared four years ago and was presumed dead!
Fletcher scowled, immediately pulling out a satellite phone and dialing Rex directly.
Outside Western warehouse.
Douglas stared at the laptop as a bold 'Breach Successful: 100%' flashed across the screen.
He was utterly stunned.
He had just watched his niece tap a few keys, and suddenly the entire system of warehouse had crashed.
The speed...
It was terrifying!
Douglas felt a lingering fear. Thank God he had dropped the issue of the stolen chip the moment he realized Serena was his niece.
If he had made an enemy out of her...
The empire he had painstakingly built in the United Realmon States would have crumbled overnight!
He looked at the abandoned factory with complex emotions.
Originally, he thought he'd have to lead his men in a bloody firefight.
Now, he felt like he could stroll in there alone and not break a sweat.
Just then, his phone rang.
