Messing With Her? Are You Crazy! novel Chapter 82

The next day, at seven in the morning.

Serena came downstairs.

Edward and Julian had both postponed their morning meetings at the company to be at home.

All eyes on Serena were filled with a mixture of hope and nervousness.

Catherine went to her, took her hands, and scanned her face. “Serena, did you sleep well last night?”

After a night's rest, there was no trace of fatigue in Serena's eyes. She smiled and nodded. “I slept very well. I just need to prepare, and then I can begin the treatment for Grandpa.”

“No rush, have breakfast first,” Catherine said, instructing a servant to bring out the food.

Serena nodded and used the time during breakfast to go over the details of the required equipment with Alfred.

Alfred was completely reliable.

Everything she needed had been prepared perfectly and was already arranged in the garden gazebo under his supervision.

Half an hour later.

The family pushed a tense Old Mr. Lancaster, who was sitting rigidly in his wheelchair, in a large procession toward the garden gazebo.

The location was perfect, the timing was right, the sun was just right, and the air was fresh.

It would greatly help alleviate Old Mr. Lancaster’s pain during the procedure.

A custom-made rosewood therapy bed was placed in the gazebo, with countless tools neatly arranged beside it.

Old Mr. Lancaster was wheeled next to the bed, and two servants carefully helped him lie down.

The entire time, Old Mr. Lancaster’s body was stiff with tension.

“That’s right, just relax,” Julian added.

Despite his nervousness, Old Mr. Lancaster was philosophical. “Exactly, Serena. I'm an old man. If I get better, it’s a bonus. If not, I've lived a full life and I’m used to it.”

As he spoke, he even patted his own chest.

Serena was speechless. She wasn't nervous or feeling any pressure at all. On the contrary, they seemed far more tense than she was.

However, she knew her family was worried she was putting too much pressure on herself and would feel guilty and sad if the outcome wasn’t good.

But for her, there was no 'if.'

If she said she could cure it, she was one hundred percent certain. There was no room for failure.

Serena finished her preliminary preparations, turned to look at Old Mr. Lancaster, and smiled slightly. “You’re all worried about the wrong thing.”
