"What do we do?" Jasper Sterling checked the time. "Check-in is at eight. If we can't find Lydia, we..."
The competition meant everything to them. But Lydia mattered just as much. How could they focus on a tournament when she was missing?
"She fell into the Doyle family's hands... They'll definitely..." Vanessa Vance covered her mouth, sobbing. She didn't dare finish the thought. Lydia was so timid; being taken by the Doyles would terrify her.
"Call the Captain, call the Captain!" Caleb Sommers's fingers trembled as he pulled out his phone to dial Serena's number.
Right then, the roar of a high-performance motorcycle engine tore through the air. The red bike charged straight at them, drifting perfectly before coming to a stop just inches away, startling the three of them.
The girl sitting on the bike wore a black hoodie and dark pants that accentuated her long, stunning legs. She rested one boot on the ground and pulled off her helmet, revealing a breathtakingly radiant face. Her expression remained cool, her dark eyes calm and bottomless.
To the trio, she looked like a lifeline.
Caleb rushed forward, practically collapsing in relief. "Captain, Lydia... Lydia's gone! The Doyle family must have taken her!"
"They did it right now specifically to ruin our chances in the competition!"
Serena narrowed her dark eyes, sweeping her gaze over the panicked group. Her expression darkened.
"Should we call the police?" Jasper wiped his eyes. "Lydia..."
"No," Serena said, her tone as calm as ever. "Get in the car. Go straight to the stadium."
"What?" The three froze.
How could they go to the stadium without Lydia?
How could they even think about competing right now?
