After getting into the car, she didn’t immediately talk to him. Instead, she kept craning her little head, staring straight at the driver.

When the driver spoke with Benjamin, he used a foreig language the entire time. Nina couldn’t understand a word.

Even though she didn’t understand anything, she insisted on staring at him. Amelia felt a bit awkward and tried to pull her back, but Nina refused to budge.

The driver, of course, noticed Nina watching him the whole time.

He smiled and greeted her.

He greeted her in a foreign language.

Nina didn’t understand it at all. She just kept emphasizing that she was a baby.

She pointed at herself and said seriously, “Baby.”

She knew she was a baby.

Amelia laughed at how adorable she looked.

She asked, “Benjamin, when did you learn to speak foreign languages?”

Amelia could understand what the driver was saying. Her language skills were quite good.

In their family of three, only Nina had not learned yet.

Benjamin lowered his voice as well, responding quietly as if whispering back.

“I grew up in a bilingual environment, so I learned very early.”

Hearing that, Amelia immediately shook his arm excitedly.

“Then you need to speak more foreign languages with Nina in the future! That way, she’ll grow up in a bilingual environment too. Maybe she’ll just pick it up turally!”

Amelia couldn’t wait for Nina to become bilingual.

Benjamin hesitated for a moment, but under Amelia’s hopeful gaze, he still nodded.

While the couple was chatting, Nina had already started talking” with the driver.

She couldn’t understand anything he said, but she would randomly blurt out a few words in response.

For example, when the driver praised her for being a pretty baby, she repeated the word “baby.”

And when the driver asked if she was hungry, she replied, “Hello.”

Her foreign-language vocabulary was extremely limited

Yet she used just those few words to chat with the driver the entire way.

The driver knew she understood nothing, but he still chatted with her anyway.

In their own way, it was a rather magical form of communication.

When they arrived home, the household staff already on duty finally included someone from their own

country.

Nina wandered around the new house. There were many places designed for children to play.

Amelia let her play inside.

It was already nighttime by the time they arrived, so going out wasn’t ideal.

In a foreign country, Nina’s outings made the adults back home particularly worried.

Amelia took Jane’s video call and showed her Nina playing in the yard.

“Mom, Nina’s doing great. Don’t worry about her.”

While Amelia was on the phone, Benjamin was also on a call.

On Benjamin’s end, Daniel was loudly protesting, “Benjamin, why did you freeze my card again? I haven’t caused any trouble lately!”

Daniel had no idea how he had offended Benjamin this ime.

He was furious, protesting nonstop on the call.

Benjamin held his phone, his arm still faintly sore.

He shot Daniel a cold look and didn’t bother wasting words on him.

Both phone cameras were pointed at Nina.

Nina was sticking her little bottom out, yanking at grass in the yard that was taller than she was.

The grass had been planted there on purpose.

No one knew what Nina found so offensive about it, but she insisted on pulling it out.

With no one playing with her, she still managed to keep herself extremely busy.

While she was playing there, Nelson, back home, was thinking about her.

“Daddy, are you going out?” Nelson asked if his father was going out.

Recently, Trevor took him along whenever he went out.

They exchanged looks for a few seconds. Trevor saw right through his intention and said calmly, “You want to go find Nina?”

Nelson nodded. “Nina can’t speak foreign languages. She can’t understand what people say. She’ll be lonely.”

Nelson felt that since Nina couldn’t speak the language, he would not be able to play properly.
