My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 792

Quennel looked at the man before him. His attitude was haughty and arrogant, but Quennel knew he had the skills to back it up.

"Your request on the phone was simple enough. You want to replace her man with you, to alter her memories. That's child's play for me. All you have to do is arrange a meeting with her."

The man, Marcus Hale, sat on the sofa and crossed his legs. Seeing Quennel's apparent disbelief, he let out a short laugh.

"You came to me, so you should know I've never failed a job. If you really don't trust me, we don't have to work together. I'll give you a full refund of your deposit."

Quennel saw his cavalier attitude toward money and was even more convinced that his arrogance was born from genuine ability.

"It's not that I don't believe in your skills. It's just my first time dealing with something like this, so I'm naturally a little concerned. I just need to get her here, put this into her drink as you said, and once she's unconscious, you'll handle the rest, correct?"

Quennel glanced at the small vial of clear liquid on the table, the one Hale had given him earlier.

When he'd first received it, he had it tested by a lab. The results showed it was just a simple sedative, with no other suspicious components.

"Yes, leave the rest to me. You can watch from the side, don't worry. She'll just take a nap, and when she wakes up, her memories will be exactly as you want them. It's simple, and there are no dangerous substances involved."

Hearing his repeated promises and guarantees, Quennel nodded.

"Alright. I'll arrange a meeting with her in the next couple of days. The rest will be up to you, Mr. Hale. After it's done, not only will I pay the remaining balance, but I'll also give you a generous bonus. I trust you'll maintain your professional discretion and not let this get out."
