My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 806

When Lionel sent someone to run Marcus Hale over with a car, he never intended to hide it.

So, he wasn't surprised by Quennel's appearance. In fact, he looked as if he'd been expecting him.

As soon as Quennel entered, he saw Lionel sitting on the sofa, waiting. Seeing his confident demeanor, Quennel's expression darkened even further.

"Lionel, what is the meaning of this?"

Lionel feigned confusion. "What are you talking about?"

"You deliberately had someone run over Marcus Hale, brought him to your house, and are now holding him captive. What are you planning?"

Quennel sat on a nearby sofa, his eyes scanning the first floor. He didn't see Marcus Hale, which meant he was likely being held upstairs.

"Lionel, I advise you not to do too many pointless things before the divorce. After all, you can't change anything now. Your divorce from Hannah is inevitable."

At these words, Lionel couldn't help but let out a laugh.

"What do you mean, 'pointless things'? And you know this person? I don't recall ever hearing that you knew him. Are you good friends?"

The atmosphere in the living room was heavy, yet Lionel seemed completely unfazed by the oppressive aura Quennel projected. A contemptuous smile even played on his lips, as if he had no fear of him at all.

"I don't know him," Quennel said, refusing to fall into his trap, his voice calm and composed.

"I just heard that you arranged for someone to be intentionally hit by a car. I was worried this would reflect badly on you and the Rosenberg family, so I came to have a word with you."
