My Husband's Affair My Anniversary Gift (Lily and David) novel Chapter 291

“So, where are we going to practice?” she asked, tapping her pen against her notebook absentmindedly.

“You can practice in our office,” John replied casually.

Riyana nodded, but Lennox’s voice interrupted, calm and smooth. “No, that will be troublesome. Why don’t we do it at my house? It’ll be easier and more convenient.”

Her eyes widened slightly. “Your house?”

she repeated, stunned. John also raised his eyebrows, caught off guard.

“Yes,” Lennox said, leaning lazily back in his chair, one hand draped across the armrest. “It’ll be private too, if Ms. Rivan doesn’t mind.”

Riyana hesitated for a moment, her mind spinning. His house? A superstar’s home?

She swallowed, trying to keep her thoughts from racing. “I… I don’t have a problem. But, uh… you’ll be okay? I mean, what if someone finds out? The media?”

Lennox smiled, the kind that made her feel slightly at ease despite the racing thoughts. “It’s okay. Don’t worry about it. No one will find out.”

She nodded slowly, trying to accept the reassurance.

“Alright then… you guys set the time, and we can start working. We really have a short schedule.” John said.

“We can start tomorrow,” Lennox said. “I’ll send you my location. Evening works best for me, I have a clear schedule then.”

Riyana nodded again, taking mental notes. “Okay, sounds good.”

After a few more minutes of finalizing details, Lennox stood and stretched lazily. “See you tomorrow, then,” he said, flashing a friendly smile as he left.

Once he was gone, Riyana turned to John. They talked briefly about the materials she would need and the timing of the sessions.

By the time they finished, Riyana felt a mixture of excitement and nervous energy bubbling inside her. As she stepped out of the room, she realized that despite her initial hesitation, she was actually looking forward to starting this new chapter.

“Riyana?”

John’s voice came from behind her. She turned just as he pushed the door open and stepped out, his phone still in his hand.

“Do you have any plans for dinner?” he asked casually.

Riyana paused for a second, then shook her head. “No. I was just planning to head back to my apartment.”

John glanced down at his phone, scrolling quickly, then looked back up at her. “Then why don’t you join us for dinner?”

he suggested. “You know, today is officially the first day of shooting. Everyone’s excited. The cast and crew are planning to go out for dinner and drinks. It’ll be a good chance for you to get to know everyone.”

Riyana hesitated. She wasn’t used to these kinds of gatherings, especially with film crews and actors. Part of her wanted to politely refuse and go home, curl up somewhere quiet. But another part of her knew John was right. This was work. Building connections mattered.

After a brief pause, she nodded. “If you say so… okay.”

Just then, her phone vibrated inside her bag.

“Alright then,” John said, already turning away, “why don’t you wait in my office for a bit?”

Riyana pulled out her phone. The message was from Lily.

(If you’re done, come to room six)

Riyana looked up and called after John, “I don’t want to disturb you. I’ll go see Lily.”

The room was quiet, heavy with the kind of silence that made thoughts louder. He was standing near his desk when his phone vibrated. Without much interest, he picked it up and glanced at the screen. A notification from Lily’s account popped up.

He didn’t think much of it at first. Lily posted often. He was about to swipe it away when his eyes landed on the short reel.

His expression changed instantly.

As always, his gaze didn’t stay on Lily for long. Instead, it stopped on another woman in the frame.

Riyana.

She was sitting very close to a man. Too close. Their shoulders almost touched, and at one moment, the man even leaned slightly toward her. What struck Jabco the most was her expression. She was smiling. Not a polite smile. Not a forced one. It was relaxed, open, comfortable.

His jaw tightened.

He recognized the man immediately. It was the same man he had seen with her before. The same man from the food stall. The same man who seemed to keep appearing around her life.

Is this the man she plans to marry?

The thought made something twist sharply in his chest. He didn’t like the feeling. It was unfamiliar and deeply uncomfortable, like something pressing against his ribs from the inside.

His eyes finally shifted back to Lily in the video.

So Lily knows him too?

So Lily knows about Riyana and that man.

Jabco’s fingers curled tightly around his phone. The screen dimmed under his grip. The next second, he slammed the phone down onto the desk with such force that the sound echoed through the room.
