My Husband's Affair My Anniversary Gift (Lily and David) novel Chapter 329

Riyana stood there, lips pressed together, her gaze drifting to the floor. She had no interest in this conversation. She just wanted to leave. As she glanced around, she spotted Lily and David across the hall.

She looked at Jabco. He was already pulled into another conversation.

Perfect.

Riyana turned to slip away, but suddenly a hand wrapped around her waist.

“Where are you going?” Jabco asked quietly.

Her heart skipped. People were watching. She caught the look on Elara’s face and felt her cheeks burn. Riyana immediately stepped back and pushed his hand away.

“I’m just going to say hi to Lily,” she said, pointing toward them.

At the same time, Lily had already noticed her and waved excitedly.

Jabco studied her for a moment. “Fine. But don’t go anywhere without telling me.”

Riyana rolled her eyes and walked away.

After Riyana walked away, Elara couldn’t help herself.

She asked, “Why do you look so comfortable around your secretary?”

Jabco’s gaze followed Riyana. She was laughing with Lily, her face relaxed in a way he rarely saw. A faint smile crept onto his lips.

“I really don’t want to make her angry,” he said calmly. “Didn’t you notice? She just warned me not to say anything. But I have to.”

He paused, then added plainly, “I’m married. And she’s my wife.”

Shina had just taken a sip of his drink. He choked, coughing hard.

Rogan froze, staring at Jabco in disbelief.

Shina and Rogan exchanged a look.

Elara was the most shocked of all. Her eyes snapped back to Riyana, anger and jealousy flashing through them. But she quickly masked it behind a practiced smile.

“You’re still the same,” Elara said lightly.

“You never bother to hide anything. Once you decide on something, you don’t care about the consequences.”

Since Jabco had said it so openly, in the middle of a crowd, without caring who might overhear, it was obvious he was serious.

“You’re really something,” Shina said, still wiping his mouth.

Rogan laughed softly. He had always suspected Jabco’s feelings for Riyana, but even he hadn’t expected this.

Lily excused herself from David and hurried over. “Finally! I thought you wouldn’t come.”

Riyana let out a tired breath. “Trust me, I tried not to.”

Lily laughed softly, then leaned closer, lowering her voice. “You okay?”

Riyana glanced back instinctively. Jabco was still watching her.

“No,” she said honestly. “But I will be.”

Lily and Riyana walked side by side, slowly moving through the hall. They talked about the guests, about the atmosphere, and about the paintings displayed along the walls. Some were bold and loud, others quiet and soft, each carrying a different mood.

After a while, Riyana slowed her steps.

“Lily…” she called softly.

“Hm?” Lily replied, turning her head away from the painting she was looking at.
