“The photocopier?” Elena frowned.
Something as simple as a photocopier should be easy.
Then again, Theresa had never been exposed to these things. She probably hadn't even seen what a copier looked like before.
How would she know how to use one?
“Don't panic. Take a picture of your company's machine and send it to me.”
“Okay, right away!”
Theresa hung up, took a photo with her phone, and sent it over.
Elena glanced at it and immediately knew the model.
She then sent the operating steps to Theresa.
Following the steps Elena sent, Theresa managed to make the copies in no time!
Suddenly, she felt a sense of accomplishment.
She immediately called Elena back.
“Thanks, girl! I did it, hahaha!” Theresa said happily.
“Look at how happy you are. It's no big deal,” Elena teased.
“You have no idea how cold the people here are. I came in today, and they just made me do menial chores. Just grunt work. When I asked them how to use the copier, nobody paid attention to me! What is wrong with these people?” Theresa complained.
“That's normal. That's how the corporate world is. They have no obligation to help you. Most newcomers go through this. If you're lucky, you meet kind people who teach you. Otherwise, you just have to figure it out yourself!”
“So you mean I have bad luck?”
Elena laughed. “Isn't that obvious? Haha!”
“Hmph! You dare mock me! Just you wait!”
Theresa pouted.
A while later, she took the copied documents back.
“Ms. Ward, I've finished copying the documents you wanted.”
Rachel didn't even look up. Instead, she scolded, “It took you an hour just to copy a few things? Can't you even handle such a small task?”
“I... I wasn't familiar with it,” Theresa explained.
“You are the stupidest person I've ever met. I really don't know how you got into a company like The Ellington Group,” Rachel ranted relentlessly.
