Isabella glared at her but didn't speak.
She wouldn't side with Elena, but she certainly wouldn't side with Damian either.
"Mr. Sinclair, the garden is so dirty. Why did you have to come in here?"
As Elena spoke, she shook the vegetables in her hand, flinging dirt directly onto him.
"You... you... you actually dare to mess with me! Elena!" Damian gritted his teeth, frantically brushing off the dirt before hurrying away.
"Mr. Sinclair, you've got a little green on your head!" Elena called after his retreating figure.
Damian stopped, touched his hair, and found a green vegetable leaf.
Enraged, he slammed it onto the ground.
Isabella hadn't expected the usually difficult Damian to suffer such a loss at Elena's hands.
Elena really did have a few tricks up her sleeve.
"Elena, even if you are Dylan's fiancée, have you ever considered if Dylan truly loves you?" Isabella asked unwillingly.
Although Elena's behavior was shameless and crude, it had been undeniably satisfying to watch.
Isabella felt resentful. Elena did the things she didn't dare to do.
She was a socialite; she had to maintain her elegance and reserve at all times.
Elena continued organizing her vegetables as she replied, "If he doesn't love me, does he love you?"
"Yes. The person he truly likes is me. You must have asked about me. Dylan and I are childhood sweethearts. We dated and were together in the past!"
Elena didn't respond, staring intently at the task in her hands.
"I'm talking to you, Elena. Do you have any manners?"
"Who made a rule that I have to answer just because you're talking to me? Miss Bennett, I'll answer if I want to, and I won't if I don't. Why are you being so aggressive? Besides, whatever happened between you and Dylan, you said it yourself—that was in the past. Does he even look at you now?"
Elena's words were provocative, and Isabella couldn't out-argue her.
She ground her teeth in anger.
She had never met anyone as shameless as Elena.
