“Really?” Cathy was thrilled.
She was naturally delighted to know a socialite like Isabella.
She had heard about their circle for a long time—a circle filled with heiresses and debutantes.
If Cathy could enter such a circle, it would be wonderful. It would completely pave her way in this social sphere.
It was something she dreamed of!
“Of course it’s true. I already consider you my sister!”
Isabella smiled, but the calculation in her eyes was unfathomable.
As they chatted, the sound of a piano rang out in the hall.
Everyone looked over and saw Jane had changed into a white evening gown and was sitting at the piano.
The stage lights shone on her, making her fair skin look as if it were glowing.
In that lighting, she looked magnificent, like Snow White.
Her fingers danced across the keys as she played “Fur Elise.” She was fully immersed, a faint smile on her face.
Everyone was captivated by Jane.
“Look, isn’t that Jane playing the piano?”
“That’s her. I heard she learned piano very well. I thought she would pursue the arts, but she went into Aurelis Holdings instead. She’s so capable, excelling in everything.”
“The Whelans raised a good daughter. She plays so well!”
Gavin and Lauren couldn’t stop grinning.
Although their son Nate was a disappointment and had poor grades, fortunately, their daughter brought them glory.
When the piece ended, Jane stood on stage and bowed to everyone.
“Thank you, everyone!”
