Seeing Logan's demeanor, Mr. Jenkins lost all will to fight.
When dealing with a man who had just been released from prison, there was no telling what he might do.
Money was important, but his life mattered more.
"I'll pay... I... I'll pay right now..."
Mr. Jenkins pulled out his cell phone and called his secretary.
"Immediately... transfer twenty million dollars to the Ellington Group's account right now. Hurry!"
"Mr. Jenkins, are... are you drunk?" The secretary couldn't believe it.
He had been adamantly refusing to pay for so long, and now he was suddenly transferring the money.
"Cut the crap and just do it! Hurry up!"
On the other side, Theresa verified the transaction. Once she confirmed the money had been received, she gave Logan a signal.
Logan released his grip on Mr. Jenkins.
"Let's go," Theresa said.
Logan took Theresa's hand, and the two of them left the scene.
"Hahaha! Tonight was just too satisfying! That Mr. Jenkins had such a smug look on his face before. I tried to get him to pay so many times, and he just kept jerking me around. He finally learned his lesson!" Theresa clutched her stomach, laughing.
As her laughter subsided, she realized her hand was still being tightly held by Logan.
"You..." Theresa tried to shake off his hand, but Logan held on firmly.
"What? Getting cold feet after the deed is done?"
Theresa turned beet red. "What are you talking about? What deed? Logan, watch your mouth. Don't think you can take advantage of me!"
"I'm your fiancé. What's the big deal about holding hands? I could even kiss you!"
