"You're blushing! Don't tell me you like Mr. Maddox too? Wow! You're just a lowly secretary, yet instead of doing your job, you're crushing on your boss!" Bianca pointed at her accusingly.
Jane flew into a rage out of humiliation. She spoke impulsively without thinking.
"So what if I like him? What business is it of yours?"
"Great. I'll go tell Mr. Maddox right now that you like him, and that instead of working, your head is full of fantasies about him."
"Stop! Everyone in the company likes him. Are you going to report them all? Miss Fairchild, this is Aurelis Holdings Group, not a fish market. Mr. Maddox is busy, so you'd better not go in and disturb him!"
Bianca smiled dismissively. "Well, I'm going in anyway!"
"Don't you dare!" Jane stepped in front of Bianca, spreading her arms to block the way.
Bianca, naturally, didn't take her seriously.
To get revenge for Jane blocking her earlier, she used all her strength and shoved Jane aside hard!
"Ah!" Jane lost her balance and fell directly to the floor.
She looked utterly pathetic.
Bianca looked down at her from above. "You overestimated yourself."
Jane was speechless.
She was furious and embarrassed.
Bianca knocked on the door, then pushed it open and walked in.
Sean was still reviewing documents, his pen moving non-stop as he signed papers.
"You're here," Sean said without lifting his head.
"Yep," Bianca replied.
At that moment, Jane rushed in frantically.
"Mr. Maddox, I couldn't stop her. She insisted on barging in..." Jane looked at Sean pitifully.
"No need to stop her," Sean said indifferently.
Jane froze.
No need to stop her?
It was so humiliating!
Bianca smirked slightly. "Goodbye, Miss Whelan."
Since Mr. Maddox had spoken, Jane had no choice but to leave, no matter how embarrassed she felt.
Now, only the two of them were left in the office.
"What exactly do you want? Do you want me to go to your house for dinner again? To help you show off?" Sean asked.
"Of course not. I came specifically to invite our Mr. Maddox to a party tonight. I'm organizing a get-together, and I hope you can come and have some fun. Isn't working every day boring?"
Sean closed the last file. "Sorry, I don't have time for boring parties. Go by yourself."
"Mr. Maddox, that's not very cool of you. If you don't go, you'll regret it!"
Sean looked at her in confusion.
"I also invited Elena tonight. She'll be there! But if Mr. Maddox really doesn't have time, then forget it!" Bianca said deliberately.
"Wait!" As expected, Sean called out to stop her.
