"Let's talk about it later. We should go eat first. I came today specifically to treat you two to a meal!" Patrick Sinclair said with a smile.
"Alright. Caleb, have someone clean up this place!" Dylan Sinclair ordered.
The office was a complete mess after the fight, with documents scattered all over the floor.
The three of them went to a restaurant, and only then did Dylan bring up the matter.
"I fired Damian Sinclair from the company! That's why he flew into a rage!"
"Fired? Does Dad know about this?" Patrick asked.
"Not yet, but the evidence is solid, so he probably won't say anything. Evelyn Sinclair was the one who actually pulled this off. Evelyn found out Damian was embezzling company funds to finance his partying. Kicking him out was the right thing to do. The company couldn't possibly keep a parasite like him around to drain our accounts."
Elena had no idea Evelyn was so capable.
"Evelyn's competence is truly leagues ahead of Damian's," Elena remarked.
"Of course. Evelyn is no slouch. She keeps everything at the company highly organized and acts with absolute decisiveness!"
She had the true demeanor of the Sinclair family.
Moreover, she was ruthless. When she got serious, even the people closest to her would tremble in fear.
Working under her was never a walk in the park.
She shared Dylan's early leadership style, truly living up to the Sinclair family name.
If Evelyn had been a man, the company likely would have fallen into her hands during his paralysis.
After the three finished their meal, Dylan took Elena home.
By the time he returned to the Sinclair residence, Amber Sinclair stopped him.
This sort of thing used to happen all the time. Whenever Patrick got hurt, Amber would always pin the blame on Dylan.
He had suffered enough of this unfairness during his childhood, even though he used to blame himself every single time.
Now, he saw right through it and couldn't care less about what Amber said. He turned and walked away coldly.
"Look at that temper. He doesn't act like a proper sibling at all..." Amber continued to ramble on.
Patrick was getting angry. "Amber, you can't treat Dylan like this. My injury is my own business. You do this every single time, and I just don't understand you! Dylan is your son too!"
Having said his piece, Patrick stormed off in a huff.
"Patrick..." Amber watched her son leave with a worried expression.
Standing nearby, Isabella Bennett witnessed the whole scene and couldn't wrap her head around it either.
