Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 612

Logan let out a dismissive scoff. "That's my business, and it's got nothing to do with an outsider like you! If you even think about touching her today, I swear I'll break your arm!"

Logan tightened his grip and twisted, making Charles feel like his arm was about to snap in half from the excruciating pain.

"Let go... let go... let go!" Charles howled in agony.

"Logan, you're crossing the line! This is an office. As a security guard, how can you just storm in here and attack people?" a coworker nearby spoke up in Charles's defense.

Theresa chimed in, "Charles was the one about to hit someone. Is defending yourself against the rules now?"

"Theresa Graham, we all saw it. You threw water in his face first. It's completely normal for him to get angry when you were the one who started it!"

"Is that so? If you really want to play that game, he was the one spreading rumors first. Without any proof, I could sue him for defamation right now! And the rest of you, what are you doing whispering behind my back? If you've got the guts, say it to my face! Gossiping around like a bunch of high school mean girls. Next time, it might be your faces getting splashed—and no, it won't be water, it'll be acid!"

Theresa swept a cold, intimidating glare over the room, and no one dared to challenge her.

After all, everyone knew Theresa could be a little unhinged when pushed.

She had single-handedly dismantled the cafeteria's corrupt leadership; there was no telling what else she was capable of.

If she actually threw acid on them, their lives would be ruined!

Besides, it wasn't even their fight. It was between her and Charles, and they were just there for the drama.

Nobody wanted to get caught in the crossfire.

"Let me go! Somebody help! Help! Help!" Charles yelled at the top of his lungs.

Logan kicked the back of Charles's knee, dropping him straight to the floor in total humiliation!

Charles quickly defended himself. "I only spoke the truth!"

Rachel Ward glared at both of them. "Enough from both of you! We have a new colleague joining our department today, and look at the example you're setting! I want everyone to snap out of it and be on your best behavior!"

One of the employees asked in confusion, "Ms. Ward, it's just a new hire. Do we really need to make such a big deal out of it?"

People joining and quitting was an everyday occurrence at the company. Nobody had ever seen a regular hire treated with such fanfare, as if an executive was arriving.

Theresa found it odd, too. When she first joined the company, nobody had paid her any mind at all.

Why did this new arrival get the red-carpet treatment?

Rachel Ward lowered her voice. "This time is different. This new colleague has serious connections—very powerful ones. Management has already given us a heads-up to take good care of her. So I want every single one of you to be extra welcoming. Don't you dare give her a hard time. If you do, you'll be the ones paying the price, and don't say I didn't warn you."
