“We still have a month left before the deadline we agreed on! You have no right to take over UME!”
Inside the conference room, Theo slammed his hand on the table, his face red with anger.
Across from him sat a semi-circle of foreigners, with a dark-haired man in his early thirties at the center.
Facing Theo’s fury, the man remained unfazed. He shook his head and replied in fluent German, “Even if we gave you another month, you’d never be able to reach the profit target we agreed upon.”
“I’d advise you not to waste your time. You’d be better off using this opportunity to polish your resumes and think about your futures.”
Theo’s short fuse finally blew.
“Who says we can’t do it? We’ve already started rolling out our products across the domestic market. It’s just about exceeding your profits, right? Give us one more month, and we can absolutely do it!”
The man chuckled. “Do you have any idea how much profit our investors have made overseas in the last six months?”
He held out a hand to a woman beside him, who handed him a file.
Theo’s eyes were fixed on the financial report in the man’s hands.
He had previously estimated the investors' profit margin based on their past annual reports. While he knew it would be difficult for UME to match it, he didn’t think it was impossible.
UME’s factories were already established, which would at least double their previous profits.
Plus, with the recent publicity from Evangeline’s efforts and the surge from Glenn’s fanbase, their order volume was skyrocketing.
Reaching that number would be tough, but not completely out of the question.
If they pushed hard in this final month, they could still pull through.
But just as Theo was thinking this, the man’s next words hit him like a ton of bricks.
