Karina added.
Ever since her divorce from Noah, the White family's status in Istra had plummeted. Life was hard for the Whites, which made life even harder for Karina at home. She was now desperate to remarry Noah.
"Shut up!" Noah glared at Karina, his voice filled with fury.
While he still felt pity for his own daughter, Nicola, he was utterly tired of Karina.
"Daddy, don't be mean to Mommy, don't be mean to Mommy." Noah's anger frightened Nicola, and her little face turned pale.
Nicola had just eaten too much and had a crying fit. Now, startled by Noah, her face went white, and she suddenly vomited.
"Nicola, Nicola, what's wrong!" Karina rushed over and pulled her daughter into her arms, shrieking, "To the hospital, quick, to the hospital!"
Worried his daughter might be sick, Noah didn't dare delay and immediately drove Karina and Nicola to a nearby hospital.
Since it was nighttime, only the pediatric emergency room was open.
The emergency doctor examined Nicola but didn't even prescribe any medicine. "The child just ate too much and then got worked up, which caused the vomiting. There's nothing wrong. Just have her drink some water when you get home."
Karina had hoped to use Nicola's sickness as an opportunity to spend more time with Noah, but the doctor said Nicola was fine and dismissed them so easily.
"My daughter threw up, how can there be nothing wrong? Do you even know what you're doing? Did you even examine my daughter properly!"
Karina's awful attitude wore out the doctor's patience. He replied flatly, "The child just overate. As parents, you don't need to make a big deal out of nothing. If you don't trust my medical skills, you can go to another hospital."
