Sorry for Your Loss It's Me I'm the Loss novel Chapter 942

Yvonne had eaten little for lunch and was already hungry. She picked up her silverware, took a piece of glazed pork rib, and was about to take a bite when she heard Tobias ask, “Why didn’t Bennett come? I thought he didn’t have much on his schedule lately.”

Yvonne’s hand paused. “Oh, he probably had other commitments. I don’t feel comfortable prying into his work affairs.”

Bennett was still giving her the cold shoulder and hadn’t been home.

Of course, Yvonne knew he wasn't there during the day, but at night, after she was asleep, he would quietly come back to watch over her and the baby.

Bennett thought she was asleep, but in reality, she was always awake. The baby was moving more now, especially at night, which meant she wasn’t sleeping well.

So, she knew every time he came back.

That man was going to be the death of her with his impossible stubbornness.

Tobias didn’t know what was going on with the young couple, so he didn’t press the matter.

After dinner, Yvonne chatted with Dana for a while before preparing to leave.

Her driver had brought her, so she was surprised to see Bennett had come to pick her up.

As Yvonne stepped out of Dana’s house, she saw Bennett’s black Mercedes parked in the driveway.

He got out of the car, and as he looked over, their eyes met.

“I’m going to say hello to Uncle Tobias. You can wait for me in the car,” Bennett said, walking up to her and instinctively taking her hand for a moment.

Yvonne nodded and obediently walked to the car.

Bennett went into the house and came out a short while later.

He opened the driver’s side door, got in, and started the engine.

The car slowly pulled out of the driveway.

Yvonne turned to look at him and began tentatively, “Bennett, I…”

“Aren’t you tired? Get some sleep. I’ll wake you when we get home,” Bennett cut her off.
