Chapter 245
3rd Person’s POV

‘Gerald mentioned she’s studying in the Healing field at the Academy of Lunar Grace. Sharp-minded, just ike her mother. And still so grounded…”
‘She’s grown so beautiful and smart. No unmated male in Lunaris could’ve missed that.”
A low scoff came from beside him. “Idiot-lower your voice. Unless you have a death wish and want the Alpha of Moonclaw tearing your throat out.”
What do you mean?” the first whispered, confusion flickering across his face.
Before the tension could settle or the question be answered, Gerald stepped forward, bowing deeply.
‘Alpha Ezra,” he said, voice steady despite the tension, “it’s an honor to receive you here. My apologies if we’ve intruded.”
There’s no intrusion,” Ezra replied, his tone calm-almost light. “Not when it concerns my Luna.”
The warriors stiffened at once.
They had sensed the bond between him and Lylah, undeniably mated. That much had been clear.
But this…
His Luna?
They hadn’t expected that-not at all.
After laying her flowers and offering a quiet prayer to her parents, Lylah rose slowly.
Then, to her surprise,
Ezra stepped forward and knelt.
The Alpha of Moonclaw, who bowed to no one, not even his elders, lowered himself before the two nounds without hesitation-an unmistakable gesture of respect.
Ezra, there’s no need,” she said softly as he rose.
He met her gaze, steady and certain. “They are my mate’s parents,” he replied. “Of course, I owe them my
espect.”
Something in her expression softened-quiet, unspoken gratitude blooming beneath her smile.
After the visit to the graves, Gerald welcomed them into his estate.
The household sprang into motion at once-maids moving swiftly to prepare a proper meal, the parlor transformed in moments into a space worthy of receiving the Alpha and his Luna. Gerald and his mate remained visibly stiff, his wolf unsettled beneath the quiet weight of the Moonclaw Alpha’s presence.

But Lylah softened it all.
She moved among them with ease, her warmth easing the tension as she spoke with the warriors. answering their questions with gentle grace.
“Yes, I’m studying in the Traditional Healing field,” she said with a small smile. “It’s more challenging than I expected. But it’s been my dream since I was a pup, so I chose to pursue it.”
“She’s being modest. Lylah is incredible.” Gwyn chimed in, barely containing her excitement. “I told you all about Yorik, didn’t I? Lylah treated him. She pulled him back from the brink of death.” She was already reaching for her phone, eyes bright. “Do you want to see a picture of her while she was working?”
“Let us see!”
“Gwyn… you took a picture of me?” Lylah laughed softly.
“I couldn’t help it,” Gwyn admitted with a wink, already pulling out her phone. “I’ve been a fan since the day we met.”
She turned the screen toward them.
A low hum of admiration rippled through the room.
“Incredible…”
“You’re truly gifted, Lady Lylah!”
Praise rose around her, warm and genuine.
All but one.
One of the warriors went still, his gaze locking onto the image. When Gwyn swiped to the next picture- revealing a group shot from the MDT visit-his focus snapped to a single figure.
His scent shifted, sharp with sudden recognition.
“Is that the heir of Blackridge Pack?” he murmured, leaning in slightly. “Thane?”
His eyes lifted slowly to Lylah.
“Lady Lylah, he’s studying in the Healing field as well. An honorable young wolf.” He pause. “Does he treat you well?”
Lylah blinked, caught off guard.
