The Billionaire's True Heiress: From Fake Jewel to Real Crown novel Chapter 376

Latham had never even hinted at anything like this before. But today, after he got back from Hearth & Kettle, his whole attitude flipped.

“Lance, you’re not a kid anymore. You’re the future of this company. You need to start making choices that are good for you and good for our family.”

Pandora didn’t just have that Agarwood pillow. She also had Hearth & Kettle—an entire estate, just as a wedding present. Who knew what else she was hiding?

Latham wasn’t the only one thinking about Claire. Over at the Byron house, as soon as the family got home, Frederic called his son into the study.

“Are you still talking to Claire?” Frederic asked.

York shook his head. “You know how it was. Even when we were engaged, we barely spoke.”

Claire was always busy with something, always learning or chasing after new things. Whenever York tried to ask her out, most of the time, she turned him down. If he tried ten times, maybe seven or eight ended in rejection. After a while, he just stopped trying. He and Claire drifted apart.

Then Claire’s real identity came out. At first, the Byron family just watched, waiting to see what would happen. Later, they broke off the engagement, and York got engaged to Cindy almost immediately. After that, he and Claire didn’t talk at all.

“You should check in on her sometimes. You two were childhood friends, you basically grew up together.”

“See how she’s doing now that she’s back in the countryside.”

“And what’s the story with her grandmother anyway? Is she really just some regular old lady living out there?”

How could a normal old woman give someone a place like Hearth & Kettle as a wedding gift?

“Maybe her family used to be rich,” York said. “Back in the day, a lot of wealthy families lost everything. She could be one of them.”

Frederic nodded slowly. “That’s possible.”

But would a fallen family really only have a single estate left? Probably not. There could be more, and it would be stupid to underestimate that.
