“Fine, whatever. If you don’t want to, that’s your choice. I’m not forcing you, so just let go of me…”
Molly stepped in, pulling Cindy back. “Cindy, stay away. You don’t want to get caught up in this.”
Honestly, Molly couldn’t help but judge the guy. Someone his size, getting pinned and beaten by two girls on the cafeteria floor? What a joke.
Cindy hesitated, not ready to walk away. “But if a teacher comes, Claire’s definitely going to get in trouble.”
Molly rolled her eyes. “Why do you even care about her?”
Claire used to be untouchable. She never fought with anyone before, but now it seemed like she had lost her shine. Nobody used to dare say anything rude to her face.
“But…,” Cindy started, still torn.
The boy was really getting worked over by Claire and her friend, and Cindy started to worry. “Claire, you guys should stop. What if you seriously hurt him? You could get sent to jail.”
Jail? Really? Claire shot Cindy a look.
Right at that moment, a teacher who was supervising the cafeteria rushed over after hearing the shouting. “Stop right there! What’s going on?”
Claire and Sophia immediately let go of the boy. Sophia’s eyes filled with tears instantly. “Teacher, you’re finally here. He was bullying us!”
Claire nodded, backing her up. “Yeah, he was picking on us!”
The teacher looked like he was about to lose it. “Don’t try to fool me. I saw you two holding him down and beating him up.”
“If he wasn’t picking on us, would we have even touched him?” Sophia fired back.
Claire nodded again. “Seriously, sir, we just came here to eat. We weren’t looking for a fight.”
Oh, so they were going to make themselves sound like the victims now?
“Teacher, those two bitches hit me!” the boy suddenly wailed, tears streaming down his face. He had to be at least two hundred pounds, but now he was sobbing like a kid.
