The moment Vivica got off work, Joseph's Maybach was already parked right outside her office building.

As she was heading down, she ran into Zavier Fulton, who was on his way out for an evening event.

"Vivica, Mr. Smith mentioned he's in Riverdale City today. I offered to take him out to dinner, but he said he was here for personal matters—did he come to see you?"

In the elevator, Zavier naturally brought it up upon seeing her.

Vivica was a bit surprised. She hadn't realized Zavier knew Raymond was in town.

"Yeah, Mr. Smith escorted my mother here. We're having a family dinner tonight," Vivica answered honestly.

She knew that Zavier—her senior from their university days—had always carried a torch for her.

The elevator reached the ground floor, and Vivica stepped out.

She had assumed Zavier was heading down to the underground parking garage, but to her surprise, he followed her out into the lobby.

Vivica glanced back, looking mildly confused. Catching her expression, Zavier quickly explained, "A friend is picking me up. I'm planning on having a few drinks tonight, so I figured I shouldn't drive."

"Oh, got it," Vivica nodded, remembering that Joseph was waiting just outside...
