"How do you guys know they're actually married? For all we know, she's his mistress."
"Exactly! These days, men are only ever that attentive and gentle with women on the side."
Seeing those malicious comments instantly soured Vivica's mood. Without thinking, she hit reply: *They are legally married, incredibly in love, and very happy!*
The moment she hit send, she felt a bit childish.
What was the point of arguing with internet trolls?
The immediate priority was to tell Joseph so he could deal with it quickly.
If this kept blowing up, they would get completely doxxed, and there was no telling what kind of trouble that would bring.
Vivica exited WhatsApp and was just about to dial her husband's number when her screen shifted. Joseph was calling her.
She answered instantly.
"Hey."
Joseph sounded a bit surprised. "That was fast. Are you awake?"
Vivica got straight to the point. "Are you calling me because you saw the news online?"
"You saw it too?" Joseph was surprised again.
"Yeah, I was sleeping, but Quintina called and woke me up to tell me. I looked at the videos, and it's getting a little out of hand. Do you have connections to get them taken down?"
Vivica was genuinely worried it would negatively impact his career and reputation.
"I've seen it. Too many clickbait accounts have reposted it, so there's no way to delete them all. A bunch of media outlets are already calling me, asking for an interview."
"Already?" Vivica was so shocked she jolted upright, but the sudden movement made her lower abdomen cramp slightly.
She instinctively placed a hand over her stomach and forced herself to relax.
