The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1383

Emily felt a rush of excitement. Her cheeks burned and her heart pounded so loudly she wondered if everyone could hear it. From this angle, Charlotte was absolutely stunning. For the first time, Emily understood why Anthony always seemed so happy around her.

Blushing even more, Emily lowered her head and tucked in her chin, looking every bit the bashful girl waiting for someone to stand up for her.

“Am I wrong?” Sabina stood her ground, holding onto the last bit of her composure. Her face was pale as she stared over at Charlotte and Emily. “She stole my opportunities, hired people to spread rumors about me online, and even liked posts that trashed my name…” Sabina let out a bitter laugh, her voice tight with anger. “Tell me, which of those things wasn’t true?”

This was all happening live. Sabina’s reputation had already taken a hit from the plastic surgery scandal. Now she wanted to drag Emily down with her, making sure neither of them could walk away unscathed.

“You…”

“Shh.” Charlotte reached out and gently patted Emily, her voice suddenly turning soft. “Wait over there, okay?”

Then Charlotte pulled a lollipop from her pocket and tucked it gently into Emily’s mouth.

“Okay.” Emily nodded, obedient and sweet, sucking on the candy as she returned to her seat. As long as Charlotte was handling things, she could relax.

“What is even happening right now?” Chat comments popped up across the screen as online viewers tried to process everything.

[They look way too good together.]

[Now I get why J can draw such powerful female leads.]

[Is it just me or does anyone else want to see what J actually looks like under the mask?]

[I don’t think J came here to sign a contract. She showed up to have Emily’s back.]

[If they keep going like this, I’m really about to start shipping them.]

With all this evidence, Emily didn’t even need to defend herself. Sabina’s accusations had completely fallen apart.

“These chat logs are fake…” Sabina’s voice shook as she tried to argue, her face drained of color.

“Stop.” Charlotte didn’t even look at her. She lifted her hand and waved Sabina off. “We’re not done here. You’re crying way too soon.”

The chat went silent. Reporters stared, stunned.

Not over yet?

Sabina started to panic, realizing everything was slipping out of her control. She turned, looking desperately for her manager. What she didn’t know was that her manager was locked in the dressing room, with no phone signal at all, forced to watch as his carefully built star fell from grace, one step at a time.
