The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1590

Pandora didn't even hesitate when Dorothy ran into her, brought up old memories, and invited her over. She said yes right away.

But she never expected things to turn out like this.

“He remembers you, he’s just a little shy.” Dorothy saw right away that Pandora was feeling let down. She was quick to step in, all smiles as she tried to reassure her. “Andrew’s got plenty of free time. If you ever feel bored, you can go find him, anytime.”

“Really?” Pandora smiled, a bit bashful, her eyes drifting over to Andrew. He wasn’t paying any attention to her though. He was glued to his phone, texting back and forth with someone.

Whatever he saw made him grin. Pure happiness lit up his face, and it couldn’t have been more different from the way he’d just ignored her.

Was he texting a girl?

Pandora had already tried to ask Dorothy about it, though she’d kept it casual.

Dorothy was firm. Andrew didn’t have a girlfriend.

“Andrew, did you hear what I just said?” Dorothy looked frustrated, her voice sharp.

“I’m busy.” Andrew put away his phone, stood up, and finally looked at Pandora. His hands were shoved in his pockets, his voice flat as he said, “If you’re really bored, you can go hang out with my mom instead.”

He paused for a second, then added, “She has way too much time anyway.”

Pandora just stared at him, unsure what to say.

“Andrew, you…” Dorothy looked like she might explode, her eyes turning red as she tried to get the words out.

Before she could finish, Andrew grabbed his backpack and headed for the door, completely ignoring her.

“You…”

“Oh, right.” Andrew stopped and glanced back, his voice cold and calm. “This house only has three floors. If you want to jump, just remember to go headfirst.”

The room fell silent.

Dorothy was left so angry, she popped a couple of heart pills just to calm down.

It took her a while to collect herself.

“Pandora, are you alright? He didn’t scare you, did he?” Dorothy took Pandora’s hand, speaking in a gentle tone as she studied her face. “Andrew wasn’t always like this.”

It was all because of Charlotte, and those awful friends she brought into his life.

“I’m fine.” Pandora smiled, still gazing in the direction Andrew had gone. There was a blush on her cheeks, just a trace. “Dorothy, are you sure Andrew doesn’t have a girlfriend?”

“No, he doesn’t.” Dorothy tensed up right away when Pandora asked, and her answer was immediate.

Still, Andrew had been acting strange lately. Hopefully he wasn’t up to anything behind her back.

Because if she found out someone was getting in Andrew’s way, she would never let them off easy. Not ever.
