“Oh, really?”
Stella didn’t know much about romance. She hesitated, then quietly asked, “Do you think Shirley actually likes Andrew?”
Charlotte just smiled, still working with her hands. “What do you think?” she replied, tossing the question right back.
Honestly, if the feelings were mutual, things would be so much easier. But if they weren’t…
Stella pressed her lips together, thinking about how Shirley and Andrew acted around each other. Maybe… probably… there was something going on. A little spark, at least. Honestly, they looked so good together.
If Shirley and Andrew really did get together, with Charlotte on her side, no one in the Blair family would ever dare mess with her. Yeah, Stella decided. That would totally work.

Backstage, Shirley was sitting on the sofa, absently playing with some lab equipment.
When she heard footsteps, she looked up without thinking. The moment she saw who it was, her heart skipped a beat.
“What are you doing here?” she asked quietly, trying to play it cool even though she was secretly happy to see him. He should’ve been with Charlotte right now, not here.
Andrew ran a hand through his hair and held out a carton of milk. “Charlotte told me to bring this to you.”
Shirley took it, watching him carefully. Was he telling the truth? Last time, when he brought her snacks, he also said it was from Charlotte...
“If you don’t believe me, ask her yourself,” Andrew said, sounding pretty confident as he leaned against the table with his hands in his pockets.
Shirley glanced down at the milk. It was the same brand Charlotte always drank.
