The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1708

Patricia made it obvious with every word. She was on board with her and Andrew dating, encouraging them to go for it and not worry about anything. As long as Patricia was around, nobody could come between them.

“Yes, Grandma.” Andrew leaned in, grinning so wide he looked completely goofy, and made a promise that couldn’t have sounded more serious. “I’ll always treat Shirley right. If I don’t…”

“You’re welcome to use your cane and toss me straight out.”

“Don’t forget what you said.” Patricia tapped his forehead, pretending to be strict. “From now on, pay attention, and learn from Anthony.”

Hearing that, Andrew sneaked a look at Anthony, who was buttering bread for Charlotte. Andrew’s mouth twitched, trying not to laugh.

“What are you staring at?” Anthony shot Andrew a cold glare. Just that look made Andrew shrink back.

“N-nothing.” Andrew fumbled over his words, but he kept circling Shirley like she was the only person in the room. If no one else was around, he’d probably try to do everything for her, down to pouring her a glass of water.

Patricia watched the whole thing, rubbing her temples while hiding a smile. Did Andrew need to learn from Anthony? If anything, he was already more attentive. He might just outdo his teacher.

Breakfast wrapped up on a happy note. Charlotte had something at school, so she and Anthony left the Blair Estate first.

Shirley waited in the living room with her hands folded neatly on her knees, chatting with Patricia while Andrew was off packing his things.
