The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1772

“As it should be.”

Anthony swallowed, his dark eyes softening until every trace of them was full of warmth. He just couldn’t look away from Charlotte, not even for a second. He held her gaze, almost as if he needed her to see the love in his eyes. “Do I look good today?”

“You do.”

Charlotte had never seen Anthony in red before, especially not such a bright wedding suit. For a moment, it felt surreal. It was true—good-looking men really could pull off anything.

“We should get going so we don’t miss our lucky hour. Tonight, you’ll have plenty of time to admire me.”

He whispered this in her ear, and before she could answer, Anthony got down on one knee. Stella quickly brought over the red flats, too beautiful for her to ever consider hiding.

Anthony took the shoes with care, slipping them gently onto Charlotte’s feet like they were made of glass. Then he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to the top of her foot.

The guests paused, surprised by the scene unfolding in front of them. They all knew how much Anthony adored his wife, but still… To see the powerful CEO of The Blair Group, down on one knee and kissing his bride’s feet in front of everyone, even with the press snapping photos—that was something else entirely.

And then, the mood changed. With everyone cheering, Anthony lifted Charlotte off the bed and into his arms. As firecrackers sounded outside, he stepped onto the bright red carpet, carrying her toward the waiting wedding car.

The lead car was a white stretch limousine, wrapped in colorful flowers. On the hood, a little display showed two figurines designed just to look like them. Charlotte’s heart fluttered, warm and overflowing, like something gentle was strumming quietly inside her chest.
