"Relax." Sensing her tension, Roger murmured softly. "Don't be silly next time. If you're uncomfortable, tell me, alright?"

Stella gripped his shoulders, feeling his body heat and the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. She bit her lip. "You can put me down."

He had been working for two days straight; he had to be exhausted.

"No need."

Roger refused, tightening his hold as he continued walking. "Are you happy being with me?"

From this angle, she had a perfect view of his strong profile.

His lips were curved into a relaxed smile, clearly in a fantastic mood.

"I haven't been out for a walk like this in a long time," Stella answered softly, stealing glances at him.

Before this, she only ever opened up to Charlotte and Shirley.

When she was alone, she preferred to isolate herself in her room.

She certainly wouldn't have come to a crowded shopping district, let alone wandered around for hours.
