Aside from Nora and Stella, everyone else fully expected two boys.

'How is my wife?'

Anthony asked, acting as if he hadn't even heard the news of his son's birth. His entire being was focused solely on his deeply loved wife. 'Why isn't she out yet?'

'Mrs. Blair is currently in stable condition.'

The doctor assured him before turning back into the operating room. Inside, the medical team was methodically dividing tasks, preparing to deliver the second baby.

'Time, January 1st, 2050, 12:03 AM,' a nurse accurately called out the time of birth. 'Gender, female.'

'That's incredible,' a younger nurse remarked, glancing at the older brother's chart in awe. 'The brother was born at 11:58 PM in 2049.'

'They're only five minutes apart, but they were born in entirely different years.'

'When she grows up, she can brag that she and her twin brother weren't born in the same year, month, or day. How cool is that?'

'I've been delivering babies for years, and this is the first time I've ever seen something so magical.'

'Both of them are absolutely stunning.'

Under the effects of the anesthesia, Charlotte wasn't entirely asleep. Her mind remained somewhat lucid, catching snippets of the nurses' chatter.
