Three days later
A blurred-out version of the video showing Janie shoving Stella went live on both The Cabinda University and Kingswood University’s official websites. Kingswood University immediately stepped in to defend their student, opening negotiations with Cabinda. Meanwhile, Stella filed an official lawsuit against Janie.
No one could get in touch with Stella, so the Adams family had no choice but to hire the best lawyer they could find. Since Janie hadn’t physically hurt Stella, the judge gave her three months in jail. Cabinda University announced their own verdict at the same time—Janie was expelled.
Jail time. Expelled from university. And now the video exposing her plot against Stella was everywhere online, with people trashing Janie in the comments. Her college life was over before it even started.

Fifteen days of physical training flew by in a blur.
Back in the dorm, Charlotte finished packing her stuff and sat on her bed, waiting. Emma zipped up her suitcase and bounced over with a big smile. “Charlotte, is your boyfriend coming to pick you up?”
Emma’s skin was almost clear now, thanks to the acne cream Charlotte had given her just ten days ago.
“Yeah,” Charlotte said with a nod.
“Alright, I’ll head out then.” Emma grabbed her bag and started for the door, but then she paused, turning back like she just remembered something. “Charlotte, you should be careful. Fedelia’s got some pull in Cabinda.”
Janie’s parents split when she was little, and after her mom passed away, Fedelia raised her. Whenever anyone mentioned the Adams family’s two daughters, they meant Letty and Janie.
“Especially Janie’s cousin, Letty. She’s a researcher at the Cabinda Medical Branch. If you cross their family, life gets tough...”
Every med student’s dream was to join the International Medical Alliance. But the first step was getting into Cabinda’s medical branch. Now that Charlotte had sent Janie to jail, Letty—who worked at the branch—would definitely try to stand in her way.
