Sweat beaded on Yvonne's forehead, but her gaze was determined. She walked much more steadily than before.
"Good, just five more steps."
Yvonne took a deep breath. Just as she was about to step forward, a delicate voice came from the door.
"Yvonne, I came to see you!"
Yvonne's steps faltered, and her body swayed. Leilani immediately steadied her and looked toward the door.
Tamara was holding onto Milford's arm, a gentle smile on her face. However, her eyes flashed with surprise the moment she saw Leilani.
Why was Leilani here? Didn't she stop treating Yvonne after she started recovering?
Tamara couldn't reveal that she knew Leilani had been treating Yvonne. Feigning surprise, Tamara widened her eyes. "Leilani, what are you doing here?"
Leilani ignored her.
Milford frowned slightly, clearly not expecting to see Leilani there either.
Tamara let go of his arm and walked quickly to Yvonne, affectionately trying to take her hand. "Yvonne, how is your recovery going? I've been wanting to come see you, but I was afraid of disturbing your rest..."
Yvonne subconsciously took half a step back, avoiding her touch. Her tone was cold. "I'm fine."
