The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 134

Leilani replied to Yvonne: [Okay, I'll definitely let you know before I come back. You need to do your rehab exercises on time. Get well soon.]

With everything settled, Leilani began to pack her clothes for the trip.

...

The next day, the day of departure, Marlon personally drove to pick her up downstairs at Celestial Heights.

Leilani brought only a simple duffel bag and a medium-sized storage box containing the new acupuncture tools she had picked up from Pure-Spring Clinic that morning, along with several bottles of homemade pills and some valuable herbs that might come in handy.

Compared to Marlon, Leilani's luggage looked extremely light.

Marlon was somewhat surprised. “Is that all you're bringing?”

He had traveled with his younger female relatives before. They always had bags upon bags. If not for the accompanying drivers and assistants, his cousin alone wouldn't have been able to move all her luggage even if she tried for half a day.

Even without comparing her to the girls in his family, Leilani's gear was less than his, a grown man.

“It's enough.”

Leilani's bag contained only clothes and some daily necessities. The heaviest and most numerous items were her treatment tools. She didn't like dragging too much stuff around. It was the internet age; if she needed something, she could just buy it there.

Leilani opened the car door and got in. Her conciseness made Marlon chuckle. Knowing her for this long, he knew she had her own way of thinking.

Since she said so, Marlon didn't ask further and started the car, heading for the airport. On the way, he simply introduced the patient's surname and age, glossing over everything else.

The car entered the airport's VIP lane. Leilani looked out the window. The horizon was covered with dark clouds, seeming to forecast an approaching storm.
