The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 527

Behind her back, Leilani's fingers curled into tight fists, but her eyes remained wide with terror as the man approached. "...I really don't know."

The leader grabbed her by the collar, pressing the tip of his blade against her collarbone. "I'll ask you one last time. Where is the pendant?"

Breathing rapidly as if hyperventilating from fear, her voice shook. "I... I'll tell you! I'll tell you! But... I can only tell you."

The man arched an eyebrow. "Oh?"

She bit her lower lip, her voice dropping to a terrified whisper. "This involves... a lot of dangerous things. You probably don't want too many people knowing."

He studied her face for a moment, then laughed. "Interesting."

Waving off his lackeys, he leaned down close to her ear, the dagger still resting against her neck. "Talk. And no tricks."

Leilani leaned in, her lips hovering near his ear, her voice barely a breath. "The pendant is in..."

Her gaze turned instantly frigid. In a flash of motion, the loosened ropes fell away. Before the man could even blink, Leilani clamped onto his knife-wielding wrist and wrenched it viciously.

Crack!

The sickening sound of breaking bone mingled with his agonizing scream.

As the dagger dropped, Leilani snatched it mid-air and drove it backward straight into the man's shoulder! Blood spurted as he stumbled backward, crashing into the oil drums.

The other two masked men gasped and instinctively reached for their guns. But Leilani was already moving. Like a streak of lightning, she slashed outward, the blade leaving a deep gash across one man's wrist. Before the second man could even raise his weapon, she delivered a brutal kick to his kneecap. The sound of shattered bone echoed clearly through the room.

Three seconds. Three men down.

Panting slightly, Leilani pressed the bloodied dagger against the leader's throat. "Who sent you?"

Clutching his bleeding shoulder, the man gritted his teeth, sweat pouring down his pale face in agonizing silence.

Leilani smirked coldly, pressing the blade deeper. "You don't have to say it. You're after the treasure hidden in the pendant, aren't you?"
