The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 653

…her good friend Carola Conner was not faring so well.

Although Carola tried to hide it from Lance Conner, he had checked her call history and discovered that she had contacted Tamara.

Realizing his sister was likely beyond reasoning, Lance discussed the matter with their parents and decided it was time to marry her off.

As soon as Carola's father, Hollis Conner, and mother, Doreen, returned from their business trip, Lance went straight to his father.

Standing before his father’s desk, Lance handed him a file, his expression grim.

“Dad, take a look. This is Carola’s recent call history. I’ve checked it all.”

Lance's voice was low and tinged with exhaustion.

“She contacted Tamara again not long ago.”

Lance had tried every means possible to deal with Carola's obsession, but nothing had worked.

Hollis flipped through the file, his brow furrowed.

Thinking of his daughter’s unwavering loyalty to that Sloan girl, Hollis took off his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose, a headache building.

“How did she get so stubbornly obsessed with that Sloan girl?”

He was even starting to wonder if Tamara had cast some kind of spell on his daughter.

Doreen sat nearby, looking equally weary.

She and Hollis had been on a business trip for six months straight. The work was exhausting enough without their daughter adding to their worries.

“Tamara is a manipulative woman. If Carola keeps getting mixed up with her, she’s bound to get into trouble… Lance, you did the right thing in this matter.”

Relieved that his parents didn't blame him for confining Carola, Lance explained his plan.

“Mom, Dad, we can’t delay this any longer.”
